I often find I am in a rush to get out the door in the morning and don’t have breakfast until later and it always costs me more than if I whipped up something quickly at home.
Recently I have been blitzing up a healthy smoothie and taking it with me (I did have to buy a couple of hipster jars so it doesn’t leak in my bag).
It’s so quick and easy and it’s saves me a few dollars, it also saves me buying something that’s not so good for me either.
Here’s my favourite so far:
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries/raspberries
1 cup of coconut water
1/2 baby spinach
1/4 Greek yogurt (adds a bit of protein but you could leave it out)
handful of ice to keep it cool
teaspoon of coconut (also optional)
Blitz it up and enjoy
I’m not to fussy with the amounts of ingredients near enough is good enough, saves time too.
